A phone CPU can be classified as a low-range, mid-range, or high-range. Low-range are less fast compared to mid-range CPUs. You can expect the phones under $100 to have a low-range or mid-range CPU. High-range CPU’s are usually used by expensive phones.

The challenge with CPU is that it is difficult for a normal buyer to identify the classification of it, upon buying the phone. Even after identifying the classification, comparing phone CPUs under the same classification is also not easy.
